Kermit's Key West Key Lime Shoppe
Like opening presents at Christmas, the discovery of new and unique places to shop is always fun for me. One of the best finds in our area is Kermit's Key West Key Lime Shoppe located in the DeLand Industrial Park at the municipal airport. Needless to say, every item there contains lime in one way or another. Even if you don't like "lime", some products just contain a mere essence that enhances its flavor. Read more… Like the bottle of herbed olive oil I recently bought, the small amount of lime oil infused with the other ingredients gives it a little umph! I found it gave my chicken marinade just the right flavor to make it taste better. The store is so cheery and decorated with a Key West ambiance bringing back memories of my last visit there. And who can resist the wonderful smell of citrus? Kermit has received lots of accolades over the years with his key lime pie recipe included in such prestigious publications as Southern Living and Cooking with Paula Deen, as well as being featured on the Today Show and several shows in the Food Network. The ultimate compliment came when Kermit's Key West Key Lime Shoppe was included in National Geographics Food Journey of a Lifetime: 500 Extraordinary Places to Eat Around the Globe. Maybe it was the fantastic chocolate dipped key lime pie on a stick that got their attention! They will put together gift baskets for you and ship them making it easy when you are looking for something special to send to friends and family. I can't imagine anyone walking out of Kermit's Key West Key Lime Shoppe empty handed. ![]() Renee Tallevast Edgewater ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
