Museums
In West Volusia, time travel is real and it starts at the front door. Throughout May, West Volusia Tourism is challenging visitors and locals alike to step outside the everyday and discover the stories that make this region so special. During Museum Month, the Museum Month Bingo Passport is a fun way to explore 14 of our cultural and historical institutions.
From the world-class gallery at the Museum of Art – DeLand to the historic grounds of DeBary Hall, the Enterprise Museum, and the sparkling treasures of the Gillespie Museum, our local partners are opening their doors for you to explore, engage, and "get a bingo."
-
Passports are available for free at any of the 14 participating museums or the West Volusia Visitor Center starting May 1.
-
Visit participating locations to have your passport marked. A "Bingo" is a completed straight line (horizontal, vertical, or diagonal) on your card.
-
Yes! Once you complete a bingo line, you can return your passport by June 5 to the West Volusia Visitor Center or the Museum Store at the Museum of Art – DeLand to receive a limited edition sticker sheet featuring hand-drawn illustrations of all 14 museums.
-
While we encourage you to see them all, you only need to complete one line on your bingo card to earn the prize.
-
Many participating museums offer free or reduced admission in May, but some locations may still require a standard entrance fee. We recommend checking our official Museum Month map or the individual museum’s website for specific details.
-
To receive a mark on your passport, you must visit during the museum’s official operating hours. We suggest staying a couple of days to make sure you have plenty of time to see everything.
-
Some museums are open daily, while others have limited weekend or weekday hours. Please refer to the list of hours on the back of your passport or our digital guide before planning your route.
-
Most participating institutions are accessible. We recommend calling in advance if you have specific accessibility concerns.
