What is Talking Tourism in West Volusia?

At West Volusia Tourism, we believe the best way to share a destination is to experience it firsthand and tell the story in your own genuine voice.

The Talking Tourism Ambassador Program is designed for content creators, storytellers and experience seekers who want to explore everything West Volusia has to offer and bring their audience along for the journey.

You do not have to live here to apply. You just need to love discovering new places, trying local flavors and capturing authentic moments.

Connect with other Local creators and choose where you fit in.

Here’s how it works:

All accepted ambassadors will be added to a private Facebook Group exclusively for the program. This will be our main communication hub. Inside the group, we will post various experiences and collaboration opportunities throughout the year. These may include:

  • Festivals and events

  • Restaurant features

  • Outdoor adventures

  • Shopping spotlights

  • Seasonal campaigns

  • Special activities and community experiences

Opportunities are offered on a first-come, first-served basis, depending on availability and fit.

When an opportunity is posted, it will include the basics:

  • A description of the experience

  • The date(s) involved

  • Specific deliverables requested (ex: static post, reel, TikTok, blog feature, stories, etc.)

  • Suggested platforms for posting

  • Accounts to tag

  • Hashtags to use (if applicable)

  • The deadline for posting

Everything will be clearly outlined upfront so you know exactly what is expected before committing.
