This compelling exhibition examines the American flag as both a symbol and a statement through paintings and artworks created by renowned contemporary and modern artists.

As America celebrates its 250th birthday, the Museum of Art - DeLand invites visitors to reflect on themes of patriotism, identity, and national symbolism through diverse artistic visions of the American flag. This thoughtful exhibition includes artists and artworks selected from our Permanent Collection as well as noted artists represented by Harmon-Meek Gallery. Works by Will Barnet, Adolf Dehn, Gabriela Gonzalez Dellosso, William Entrekin, Richard Hass, Reynier Llanes, Richard Segalman, Hunt Slonem, Fred Staloff, and others explore the American flag's legacy as a lasting cultural icon.
